OSA Talented Pathway and OPDL

OSA Talented Pathway and OPDL

Caledon S.C. and Athlete Institute F.C.

Caledon Soccer Club is proud to announce we have signed an affiliation agreement with the Athlete Institute Football Club in Orangeville.

Athlete Institute FC is entering its second year in the Ontario Provincial Development League - the most elite development league of its kind in Ontario.

The OPDL is an integral development component of the talented pathway, the elite road to playing opportunities at the provincial, collegiate, national and professional level.

The OPDL starts at U13 age group for boys and girls.

Caledon technical staff and Athlete Institute technical staff will identify players starting at U10 and track through to U13. This provides Caledon Soccer Club players that are at an elite level an opportunity to play at the top level in the province.

The OSA Talented Pathway was created to provide opportunities for the top players in the province to develop and advance. The basis for the program is the Ontario Player Development League (OPDL) launched in 2014 at the U13 level. In each successive year, OPDL will add an age group. The licensing cycle for organizations wishing to operate an OPDL program is every two years.

For information on the OSA Talented Pathway and the related OPDL, see the OSA website at http://www.ontariosoccer.net/player-talented-pathway.
